Open Door Pub Co is committed to training and development of their staff and offer employees the chance to undertake a traineeship – Certificate III in Hospitality Operations.
Trainees;

The Certificate III in Hospitality Operations is a course designed to allow trainees to attain a nationally recognised qualification whilst on the job. The course qualifies trainees to undertake a range of operational activities within the Hospitality industry, often across one or more areas of our Venues. The course will also equip trainees with a broad range of operator skills and knowledge that they will be able to use when carrying out responsibilities such as providing technical advice and support to a team or when acting as a team / shift leader.
The Certificate allows trainees to gain recognition for their existing skills and further develop new skills in areas such as:
- Dealing with conflict situations
- How to coach others in job skills
- Following health, safety and security procedures
- Completing retail liquor sales
- Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA)
- Processing financial transactions
- Receiving and storing stock
- Promoting products to customers
Open Door Pub Co pays for trainees to undertake these studies; therefore the cost to the trainee is zero!
It’s a great way to get formal recognition for the current skills you have, it can be useful as a personal development tool and can be utilised for internal development.
